Certificate Instructions

For connecting to eMC2 without going through the LinQuest Customer Portal, it is necessary to have a DOD CAC or ECA certificate already configured on your system. The certificate's public key must first be sent to the eMC2 team so it can be imported into your account. After that is completed, you will be able to use it to access the site.

If you have already gone through this process and have observed an issue with your CAC cert repeatedly prompting for a pin, please review this: Resolving CAC Cert Issues

The easiest way to submit the cert is by digitally signing an email message via the instructions below. If for some reason you can't do that, you can export it from your computer with this more extensive procedure, Export Certificate. Otherwise, please continue here.

1. If you are using a DoD CAC, insert the CAC into your card reader and connect to your military email system. If you are on a military computer, you should be able to use Outlook. If not, you can use their web email system. If you are using an ECA soft cert, you would use Outlook to connect to your company's email system. Please ensure to have it already imported into your Windows system via the instructions supplied by Verisign.

2. Send an email that is digitally signed to webmaster@linquest.com for processing. If you are unfamiliar with signing messages, please visit this page from Microsoft. If you find your Outlook is not configured to sign email messages, please contact your I.T. helpdesk.

3. After you have been notified by the webmaster that your account is ready for certificate access, you can visit the eMC2 site by clicking the "Primary CAC or Cert Login" link found on the public eMC2 Landing Page
